SAFETY FOR INFANTS AND CHILDREN
Children 12 and under are not permitted in the Lighthouse without parent or adult supervision.
Children may not be carried to the top of the lighthouse under any circumstances. While on the outside gallery with children who are able to walk to the top on their own, bend down to their level to talk to them rather than lifting them up on the rail.
Children shorter than 38 inches tall and under 4 years old will not be admitted to the lighthouse. Parents with small children should consider taking turns climbing the lighthouse. A round trip to the top and back usually takes approximately 15 – 20 minutes.
NOTE: These regulations are enforced for the safety and well being of our visitors.
Please enjoy the experience of our wonderful historic lighthouse with these safety guidelines in mind.
