{"id":959,"date":"2021-07-21T12:27:07","date_gmt":"2021-07-21T18:27:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/portisabellighthouse.com\/lighthouse\/?page_id=959"},"modified":"2025-03-12T10:57:00","modified_gmt":"2025-03-12T16:57:00","slug":"drone-usage","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/portisabellighthouse.com\/lighthouse\/drone-usage\/","title":{"rendered":"Drone Usage"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Historic Sites Division Drone Policy and Authorization<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) or drones is carefully managed within the Historic Sites of the Texas Historical Commission (THC) to ensure the safety of the site\u2019s natural and cultural assets, as well as the safety, peace and privacy of our sites\u2019 visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visitors wishing to fly their drone at a THC Historic Site may do so with prior authorization by the Site Manager using this form. Authorization must be obtained <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">before<\/span><\/strong> flying your drone and is granted on a site-by-site basis for the specific dates identified on the form at the discretion of the Site Manager.
