Easter Egg History Hunt at the Lighthouse

Lighthouse Easter Egg History Hunt | Texas Historical Commission

The Port Isabel Lighthouse State Historic Site and the City of Port Isabel will host the 5th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on the grounds of the Lighthouse on Saturday, March 30th. This event is free and open to the public.

On Saturday, March 30th, it’s a different kind of “hunt”. Over 20,000 eggs will be scattered on the hill of the Lighthouse. Participants will need to bring their own baskets and will line up on the north and south sides of Lighthouse Park. At 10 a.m. the starting line will be released, and the fun begins. The Easter Bunny will also be making an appearance and posing for photos. For the finders of the RED EGGS with “Port Isabel Lighthouse State Historic Site” written in white, the Treasure History Hunt prizes can be redeemed in the Visitors Center after following the clues inside the RED EGGS.

The Keeper’s Cottage Visitor Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Lighthouse will be open at 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission: $5 adults; $4 seniors; $3 children. Parking available around the park. (956) 943-0735.
