Lighthouse Easter Egg History Hunt | Texas Historical Commission
The Port Isabel Lighthouse State Historic Site and the City of Port Isabel will host the 6th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on the grounds of the Lighthouse on Saturday, April 19th. This event is free and open to the public.
This year’s hunt will also include a HISTORY HUNT! RED eggs marked with PORT ISABEL LIGHTHOUSE STATE HISTORIC SITE will be scattered among the other eggs. Open the RED egg and follow the instructions for even more prizes!
It’s a different kind of “hunt”. Thousands of eggs will be scattered on the hill of the Lighthouse. Participants will need to bring their own baskets and will line up on the north and south sides of Lighthouse Park. At 10 a.m. the starting line will be released, and the fun begins. The Easter Bunny will also be making an appearance and posing for photos.
The Keeper’s Cottage Visitor Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Lighthouse will be open at 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission: $5 adults; $4 seniors; $3 children. Parking available around the park. (956) 943-0735.
